Venetian design – part 2

Perhaps to consider shop windows as “design” is a bit of a stretch (or at least in this case where it’s primarily FOOD) but I was really impressed with the shops around Italy.  The way in which they specialize is impressive and there is a lot of time and care that goes into presenting each shop’s specialized goods in an impactful way in their windows.  I walked by a chocolate shop in Treviso that could have easily been a high-end hair salon.  It was so sparse save several side tables with collections of beautifully wrapped chocolates. 

And even though we weren’t tempted in the slighted by those “burger-looking” sandwiches in the window included above, I couldn’t resist getting a shot of them.  Perfect for the carb lover.
