Some fun looks from Stacy Theberge Interior Design

23 Sep

My sister’s husband’s cousin’s wife (ha! – couldn’t resist) is an interior designer and my sister, Becky, recently shared  some of the fun looks Stacy has created.  Here are a just a few or you can see more on Stacy’s Facebook page.

I love the hand-embroidered kids handprints in the embroidery hoops.  And her green owl lamp is simply an old lamp that she gave a new lick of paint to as well as a new shade.

Jamie’s house in Cork – Part 2 “Renovation”

11 Apr

Okay – so yesterday I told you Jamie’s story.  I had so many photos of her house that I also wanted to feature some of the updates that she’s done.  So, here are a few more pics to show the changes in the house since they bought it in 2002.  One of my favorites is the pass through that they created between the dining room and the kitchen.  It means that the kitchen benefits from all the natural light streaming in from the front of the house and that Jamie (or whomever else might be preparing a meal) isn’t cut off from everyone else while she cooks.

A before-and-after look at Becky’s kitchen

Here’s another before and after from my sister.  This was a project that she and her husband did on their own — they’re serious DIYers.  The room you see here was a little sun porch over the garage before they transformed it into their kitchen.

Becky and her husband are perfect “flipper” candidates (but this is their first house).  They’ve got the inside track on the market with Becky’s real estate business (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Arlington-MA/RebeccaRioREcom/133214616727717) and I don’t think there’s anything Bobby can’t do when it comes to construction — plus, they both have the energy for it!  I’m envious!
