Let’s hear it for bunting

15 May

Whether inside or out, as a permanent feature or just a way to seasonally spice things up, bunting can create a lot of visual appeal.

I used to always hang red, white and blue bunting from the upstairs deck at the house in Boston every 4th July. I thought it suited the house and the neighborhood so well and it’s fun to be patriotic.

Here’s a little bunting eye candy to inspire.

Something Blue

3 Feb

Etsy shop, Something Blue, tout themselves as wedding and event invitations with a twist — but they’ve gone beyond invites to posters that tell a story.  I love these and what a great wedding gift these would make.  I’ve been really impressed, of late, by type-driven posters — there are a lot of great ones out there and they’re oh so simple which is nice if, you’re someone like me who gets easily bored with poster art.  And just a side note — this first poster must have been a sample version because, I don’t know about you, but I NEVER seem to sit next to anyone lustworthy on planes.  Usually quite the opposite.

Check out Something Blue’s etsy shop at the link below — really creative invites for you next big event as well.

Nella Designs

22 Jan

I’m diggin’ on Nella Designs.  She has fantastic papercraft but my favorites are the custom silhouette posters she does (I know – surprise, surprise – right?).

Send in your photo and text and she’ll whip up one of these little numbers. So cute. So hip.

There are a lot of other great posters, cards, and stationery on the site.
