Creative classroom design

18 Oct

It’s another family birthday today – my sister, Stacy, turns 21 again.  She’s a brilliant teacher and now principal at a very lucky elementary school in West Texas.  She is such a creative soul — you should see all the unique and wonderful creative learning environments she’s created for her students over the years.  I wish I had photos but I don’t. Among Stacy’s projects:  a rain forest wall with a river and actual running water, an understair puppet theater, a giant re-creation in styrofoam of Eric Carl’s Very Hungry Caterpillar…yup, she’s creative. And she loves surrounding the kids with color and inspiration.

For that reason, I thought I’d highlight a few fun environments which I think would be both interesting and inspiring for a school or a classroom…
